We NEED TO TAKE TIME FOR OURSELVES... This seems to be a very familiar topic for so many of us that have decided to have weight loss surgery. We are always so busy taking care of others that we Neglect Ourselves! Welcome aboard...Enjoy the Ride!

Hello, My name is Jim Gannone and Dr Apkin put a Realize band in me last July 18th. Since then I have lost 90 lbs. but it is tough going now. Just chipping away lb by lb. Just wanted to thank Dr. Apkin for a fine job. My medical coverage coupled with the distance rom Cape May has me getting my fills closer to home. Regards, Jim Gannone P.S. Its the support that can make this journey easier and my wife was the key here.

Hi I'm Laura. I think I'm the newest newbie on here...not much recent action. I had my GBS on July 23 (just about 1 month ago). Dr. Abkin is wonderful...so I've named my new stomach The Abkin 2.0. Stomach #2. I'm feeling a bit discouraged with the soft foods. It's not going so well so I've backtracked to more liquids. I'm really frustrated. Down 20 lbs. and I guess this is good?

Hello everyone, I'm Dani. I just went to a new patient seminar on Saturday. I have my consultation with Dr. Iannace tomorrow and my nutrition and psych eval on Wednesday. I'm looking to have the gastric sleeve done. Any tips, suggestions, or war stories to share? I'm 26 years old, and I've been obese my whole life. I hit morbid obesity at age 21 or so... and its finally time for a change. I need to get myself healthy finally. Hope to hear from you all soon!

I had gastric bypass 5 weeks ago. I am down 32 pounds and feeling so good about myself. For the first month I had no indigestion or dumping but lately I am having trouble with anything other than cottage cheese, yogurt and the soft stuff. I hope things turn around and I can enjoy food again someday because right now I don't even want to eat because I keep getting such indigestion even though I am being extremely careful.

Hi all, My name is Roxie I had the Capella Procedure done about 4 years ago and I'm still glad I did it, even though I do have trouble with meats but I'm a lucky girl because I love salad lol! This is my first time here but I know that I need support now that I'm so far out and really stuck I lost about 120 lbs in that time but like I said I'm stuck. I think I'm going to backtrack with my nutrition or what I'm eating, I'm going to go back to a full liquid diet and I just started working out in a gym I'm hoping the two combined will help me. I'm also hoping that through this site and the people on it I'll learn more about nutrion and whct Dr. I wants.
